This is a great recommendation if you want a natural, no-makeup look with just a hint of color on your lips! It works well for dry/mature/skin tones 13-21. Compared to the Dior Addict Lip Glow, this has a more velvety, plump texture rather than the moisturizing feel of the Dior. It has the same effect as a high-performance lip balm. When your lips are dry, you get the added benefit of a balm effect. The color builds up subtly and evenly, leaving your lips looking plump and healthy. The color is similar to a lip gloss in your natural lip shade, so it works well with bare skin or light makeup, and can even give a cherry-like look with a full face of makeup.

It's not so much disappointing as it is important to choose the right shade. While the color is very similar to your natural lip tone, since it has a more transparent, glossy finish, it is heavily influenced by your natural lip color. So if you have a specific color in mind, be sure to test it out, rather than just going by the base shade.

Flaky lips are rarely an issue if you maintain good lip care. If you do get some flakiness from using this instead of a regular lip balm, you can just gently wipe it away with a cotton pad dampened with toner, and it should be smooth again for the rest of the day.

When I apply it lightly, no one can tell I'm wearing it. It gets more intense with each application and has a nice glide, which I really like.

The longevity doesn't seem very good. It feels like it wears off quickly..?
