The sample I received seemed quite sturdy and like the real product, which made me feel good. It's moisturizing. The color is quite cool and vivid. I think it would be difficult for warm-toned people to pull it off naturally, and it would likely suit cooler winter tones better than cooler summer tones. The color is a bit strong for full-lip application, so I'm using it as a blush instead - the color is amazing! I ended up buying a stick blush rather than a lipstick...☆ I think this would make an amazing Clinique dupe if used as a blush.

I'm a summer cool-toned person, and there was a slight white cast on the back of my hand, making it look shy and bashful. But when I applied it to my lips, it became a very hot and very cool-toned pink. It's not a natural pink. I think it would suit cooler winter tones better than cooler summer tones! On the back of my hand, it was a hot azalea pink with a slight white cast, but when applied to my lips, the white cast disappeared and it just became a hot magenta. If you apply it without exfoliating, it can emphasize flaky skin...

Don't just trust the swatch on the back of your hand - be sure to try it on your lips.
