I've been using the Banila Co. cleansing balm for a long time and wanted to try something different, so I searched and found this product and bought it on Coupang. As mentioned in the Coupang reviews, it has a creamy texture, not a balm texture, and it leaves an artificial fragrance and a burning sensation on my face. It also doesn't properly remove my foundation (Estée Lauder Double Wear), so I have to do a second cleansing after using this. I have oily, acne-prone skin. After using this daily for about a week, some hard, deep-seated acne popped up, and my skin became red. So I checked the ingredient list through the Hwahae app. This was the first time I've actively looked into the ingredients of the cosmetics I've been using. The reason this product is so affordable and in large quantity is clear now... Out of the 20 caution items, 5 of them apply to this product, and those 5 ingredients have a high potential to cause wrinkles, freckles, blemishes, rashes, and pigmentation. There are even ingredients with an EWG hazard rating of 9, and anything 6 and above is considered high-risk. 1. Fragrance (sweetener) ☆8 2. Phenoxyethanol (preservative, fragrance) 3. Methylparaben (preservative, fragrance) 4. DMDM Hydantoin (preservative) - Releases formaldehyde, can cause contact dermatitis 5. I'm just sharing this as a reference, and I've already thrown away 1/4 of the product and will go back to using my original cleanser.
