It's moisturizing, but not overly so. It lathers up nicely and looks pretty.

It was quite soft for me. Even when placed on a sponge, the water didn't dry well, and it got mushy too quickly, so I had to use it up faster.

Would storing it in a mesh pouch and hanging it help preserve it?

The soap is beautifully shaped like an amethyst crystal. While the official website reviews mention that the soap is too soft, the one I purchased is not very water-soluble, so I've been using it for a long time. As a result, it doesn't lather up much. Typically, it takes about a month to use up a 100g bar of soap, but even after almost a month, about 40g of this product is still left. When I first used it, there was a subtle fragrance of frankincense, bay leaf, and bergamot, but after 3 weeks, it's almost unscented. Among Lush soaps, this one has the most subtle scent, and the fragrance doesn't linger on the skin after washing. My skin feels less dry after washing, but the cleansing power is average.

Others have said the soap also acts as a room freshener, with the scent wafting out when the bathroom door is opened, but the one I received seems to be an old product - it's not soft, and the soap moisture seems to have dried out, so it doesn't lather well and the scent is barely noticeable. :( I wish the fragrance was just a bit stronger, as the current subtleness is a bit too mild for my liking. It requires some vigorous scrubbing to work up a lather, and when I'm in a hurry, the lack of bubbles can be a bit frustrating. :(
