The color is appropriate for me as a summer cool-toned person who likes a subtle lip that goes well with office looks and slacks. It's a warm-toned beige-pink, so when applied thinly, it gives a bit of a lively feel to the bare lips, and even when applied more heavily, it doesn't become overpowering. The transfer is minimal. I don't just rub it on, but rather dab it on with my fingertips or a lip brush, which allows me to apply it more thinly and evenly. This proper application means the amount is just right, so it dries well, and afterwards there's no transfer at all - not on masks or cups. True to its claim of long-lasting wear, this product lasts for a very long time. Especially for lighter shades like 'Lead the Way', even if the inner lip area wears off, it's not noticeable, and it stays on for a long time. My skin is on the drier side, but it's not overly drying. Compared to tints, the condition is decent. However, I do need to moisturize before and after using it. While it's comfortable to use daily due to the non-transfer and long-lasting wear, my lips did get dry, so I had to take breaks.

I need to use a lip remover to take this off properly. Just cleansing with a foam cleanser doesn't remove it at all. Maybe due to the incomplete cleansing, when I used this daily as a regular lip product, I started getting pimples around my lips. As someone with acne-prone skin, I can't use products that cause breakouts, no matter how convenient, so that's disappointing. The ingredients may be the culprit for the skin issues.

For both the SuperStay Ink Crayon and this lip crayon, I prefer to dab and blend it out with my fingertips or a lip brush rather than just applying it directly. This makes it easier to control the intensity and adjust the tone to suit a light makeup look. Especially for liquid formulas like the ink crayon, being able to regulate the amount helps it dry down properly.
