I have rather dry lips, so when I use matte lipstick, my lip flakes tend to peel off. That's why I usually apply lip balm first, then put on lipstick or use lip gloss. When I went to Japan, even though I already had so many lipsticks, I still couldn't resist the urge to buy more at the duty-free store! I told the kind Japanese staff what I was looking for, and purchased the lipstick at the duty-free shop. When I first applied it, I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it went on. The color is a deep red, right? I'm really satisfied with how it adheres to my lips and the color itself.

There's not much I'm unhappy with, but next time I might try a lighter shade.

This product seems to be one where you don't need to apply a lot of lip balm - just a single layer is enough. Or, I think it would also look nice if I put on a light-colored lip gloss and then just applied this lipstick in the center, creating a gradient effect.
