I was able to purchase it at an affordable price (bought it for 6,000 won during a sale) and the amount of essence was sufficient, so I was satisfied. I didn't particularly feel the whitening effect, but there was no irritation or discomfort.

Although you may not notice it right away, after using it for about a week, you can clearly see that your skin tone becomes brighter after cleansing. Even though I have extremely sensitive skin, it did not cause any breakouts when I applied it.
Cons
However, if the amount is not properly adjusted, small bumps may appear on the forehead, sides of the nose, and cheeks. But those can go away if you adjust the amount properly. In short, it seems a bit watery, but it is still quite oily.

When I applied it to my hand, it seemed quite watery and absorbed quickly, but when I applied it to one side of my face at home, it became quite oily. Pros
Throughout my life, I've tried various toners and essences, but this one has been the best fit for me personally! My skin type is combination, so I have to use different basic skincare products depending on the season - too oily in the summer and too dry in the winter, but this one has worked well for me all year round! The packaging is not unnecessarily large or heavy compared to the amount of product, so it's great for carrying around. It's also easy to check how much is left. It's more of a toner-like texture than an essence, less sticky. When I apply and absorb it, my skin immediately feels moisturized and soft. These days, since my skin tends to be a bit dry, I apply it one more time after the initial absorption. I was worried the amount would be small, but it's lasted longer than I expected...haha, what a steal! Oh, and my complexion has also brightened up! I wonder if this is the reason?

As for the downsides...? There really aren't any! The volume seems a bit small, but that's probably just because the packaging doesn't have any unnecessary air space.

Pros
This oil-based product has a moisturizing texture like a dry oil, and it's lightweight and easy to apply. The dual-complex formula controls sebum well, so it's not too heavy even in the summer and helps control the tight feeling. After using this, the dark spots on my forehead have visibly faded in about a week, and after using it for around 1.5 months, the difference in color between my forehead and the rest of my face has significantly improved. I'm very pleased with the whitening effects! - Added on 17.07.11 I tried applying the 23 shade cushion foundation that I couldn't use before because my skin was too dark. To my surprise, the 23 shade now looks just slightly brighter than the 22 shade, whereas before it was way too light. Even though there's not much visible difference, I can tell the difference when I actually apply it. +Added on 17.11.27 Now that it's winter and my skin is dry, I'm using this again. After toner or skin, this essence and then a light layer of lotion is enough for me. In the summer, it was a bit too oily for my combination skin, but it's just right for the winter. However, since I have dry skin, I still add a bit more moisture with the lotion.

Since I have combination skin, I do get a lot of blackheads around my nose area. I'll have to be really careful with managing and controlling the amount I use. For dry skin types, this might be a bit too drying in the winter. The price point is a bit steep for students - 50ml for 18,000 won can be quite a burden on a student's allowance, even though it lasts a long time. Added on 17.11.27: Controlling the amount can be a bit tricky, so I apply it more heavily on the drier U-zone areas and more lightly on the oilier T-zone.

Pros
First of all, it was effective in moisturizing and I definitely saw whitening effects. The freckles seem to have faded a bit.
Cons
While it did help with brightening and evening out the skin tone, some small bumps appeared. So I couldn't use it consistently, and I think I'll need to use it occasionally for periods of time when I need the brightening effect.
