Personally, I prefer the mattes, so I don't use the shimmers much. However, when applied to the eyes, the shimmers in this palette don't have an overpowering glittery effect, but rather a subtle, luminous finish. So I don't feel burdened using them. Especially the brown and deep black shades are just perfect - they have a true, neutral brown tone without any gray or reddish undertones. They work naturally with any skin tone and can be used as a substitution for contouring before getting an actual contour product. I even used the almost-black shade as an eyeliner, and it had great staying power - it lasted all day without smudging as long as I didn't touch my eyes. The brown shimmers applied nicely on the lid, and the white shimmer worked well as an inner corner highlight. I thought the white shimmer was one of the most natural-looking white shimmers I've tried. The size of the pans is not too large, so it's very convenient to bring when traveling. As they are neutral shades, they can be paired with any outfit, and the palette can even double as a contouring product. It's really an all-in-one that helps reduce the number of makeup products I need to carry.
