It also has a cooling effect. It rinses well, the ingredients are good, and there is almost no irritation. It's a great value for the price. It seems like it would also be great for removing makeup. Among cleansers, there are many that are slippery and leave residue, or are irritating, but this one cleans everything away nicely! I want to try the other products in this line as well.
ConsDon't scrub too hard. If you don't create a moderate amount of lather and rinse gently without irritation, it can cause peeling. But it wasn't an uncomfortable level of that.
TipAvailable for 8,000 won to 11,000 won at Eve & Crème.

The ingredients I was concerned about seem to have been removed, and it no longer contains them. The ingredient combination seems suitable for oily or combination skin as well. The sensitive type, which is designed for dry skin and people with fragrance allergies, definitely has the best ingredients. The foam has a natural product foam feel - a watery, fluffy foam. It's definitely less drying than regular washes. I'm satisfied. It seems like a good all-in-one product for the body, face, and hands. The cost-effectiveness is good, and there are even super-sized 3-liter bottles. Buying the large size and adding essential oils or other things would be good too. I'm using it as a hand wash for now, and it's not drying at all! Haha I'm satisfied :)
ConsSince it's summer now, it's a bit less drying, but I'll have to see how it is in the fall and winter! The fragrance is a bit too strong - it has a very strong unscented smell!

The ingredients are gentle and my skin feels moisturized, which I really like.
ConsThe pump is a bit weak and I wish a slightly larger size was available.

I've heard that this product has mixed reviews, but I'm a big fan of it. I've never had any issues with it - it's gentle, non-irritating, and leaves my skin feeling clean. Some people need to double or triple cleanse, but I only use this product. Before, I used to use separate eye and lip makeup removers and do a water cleansing, but I don't need to do that anymore. On makeup days, I just use this product for both the first and second cleanse. Since I don't do eye makeup and just use tint during the pandemic, it works well for me. It rinses off cleanly, and even when I scrub my face, it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth without the need for additional exfoliation. I've been using it consistently, and I've never had any common skin issues or irritation around my eyes. There was a time when I tried the African black soap liquid type, but I felt like my makeup wasn't absorbing well, and I had to do extra exfoliation. So I came back to this product. I often use this as an all-in-one for my face and body. I usually use the Dr. Woods shea butter body wash, and that works great with this product too. Skin care is quite individual, so I can't say this will work for everyone, but it's been perfect for me.
ConsThe only downside is that the price keeps going up. Compared to domestic or famous brand products, the price-to-value ratio is still great for the huge volume. It's an essential product, so I stock up on it when it's available. This is more important to me than cosmetics. I prefer fragrance-free products, so I like that this is unscented.
TipThere's no special tip - just cleanse and apply a moisturizer, and you're done. However, if you want to reduce enlarged pores, whiteheads, or blackheads, doing an oil massage and then using this product for cleansing can help keep your skin clear, with consistent use. I don't have body acne, but sometimes my back gets itchy, and I'll get some sebum-like buildup. Using this body wash and really lathering it up leaves my body feeling just as smooth and exfoliated as my face.

It's my holy grail. It's a gentle, low-pH, sulfate-free, paraben-free cleansing foam, but it still has great cleansing power!! Just add a little water and it lathers up nicely into a rich, creamy foam. And the price is unbeatable - it's a steal!
ConsThere was a lot of talk about humidifier disinfectant ingredients being added, but it seems like that's gone now lol
TipI cleanse with iHerb apricot seed oil first, and then use this to finish up. The apricot seed oil is amazing for removing blackheads and whiteheads... you can actually see the gunk coming out when you roll it on your skin. Then I lightly press a makeup wipe on my face to absorb excess oil, and thoroughly wipe my palms. I wash my hands with soap and then use this cleansing gel to complete my routine. This combo is the absolute best! The only downside is that the apricot seed oil isn't on Hwahae, but I really want to spread this holy grail tip widely :)

It has the feel of a dermatological cleansing product. Even though I have a somewhat sensitive skin, it is gentle and cleanses well. I couldn't ask for more.
ConsIt doesn't seem to be effective in removing blackheads and whiteheads.

The lather wasn't very dense, but that's common with natural ingredient products. Still, the lather was decent enough. It felt gentle on my skin and I used up several bottles without any notable skin reactions.
ConsThe lather wasn't very dense and it felt a bit slippery, so I had to wash my face a few times. But it wasn't overly drying either, compared to other cleansers. I was satisfied overall. However, when I checked the reviews after finishing the product, I realized there were some concerning ingredients that I should have avoided, even in small amounts. It seems the formula has been changed since then, so that issue may no longer exist.
TipBe sure to carefully check the ingredient list before purchasing... I can't believe I used that product!

The value for money is the best. I've been using this for years and this is the only one I use.
ConsMy eyes sting a little, so I have to rinse it thoroughly. Other than that, there are no downsides at all.
TipInstead of using a spot makeup remover, use a cleansing oil and finish with this, and it will leave your skin super moisturized.

It's mildly acidic, so my skin keeps getting better, and it's moisturizing and has excellent cleansing power after washing. I don't wear makeup often, but I always apply sunscreen, and the mineral sunscreen washes off easily. There may be other reasons, but I just recently turned 30, and my skin is aging much slower than my friends'. I'm not sure if it's because I don't wear foundation, always apply sunscreen, or use the mildly acidic cleanser, or a combination of all three. But the one thing I've been doing consistently is using the mildly acidic cleanser. Buying the large size online allows my whole family to use it generously, and it's incredibly affordable. Isn't it one of the most affordable mildly acidic cleansers?
ConsHaving to buy it online...? To be honest, I have no issues with it, so I just keep using it. But apparently, it doesn't work for quite a few people. Looking at the iHerb reviews, some people have experienced serious side effects. Could the mild acidity be the problem?? That's why I should try it out in-store, but buying it online means I might end up wasting money if it doesn't work. My family and I just happened to be lucky that it works well for us.
TipAs long as the humidifier sterilizer ingredients are not excessively used, and the particles are not finely atomized and inhaled into the lungs like a humidifier, I think it's fine. After all, the ingredients were originally deemed safe for consumption, so I didn't bother with detailed testing and just let it pass. Even the wet wipes we commonly use contain these ingredients.
