When it's a hassle to apply body lotion, or when you notice dry skin on your legs Just swipe it on and you're done :) It's less sticky than baby soothing balm I bought it to use on my tattooed areas, but I've been applying it to my hands and neck frequently as well.
Cons
On hot days, it can melt a bit, a middle cover would have been nice.
