  It's just as advertised. Among the Ryu Jel products, this one is the most firmly fixed and matte. There's hardly any shine. The application isn't great if you just spread it on, but if you mix it with water or a hair tonic, it applies really well. It has a waxy texture when applying with your hands, but once it's all on your hair and you brush it, it brushes through really nicely.
