My skin got really red too. But this one, when I tried it, the granules are not too small or too big, so it rolls smoothly without irritation. Also, before, I had to scrub, rinse, then work up a lather with body wash and rinse again. But the R&D Scrub Wash foams up right during the scrubbing, so it's super convenient.
