First of all, I have a sensitive, combination skin that is thin. So, I usually cannot use functional ingredients well because they irritate my skin, but I did not feel any irritation even though this product contains various functional ingredients such as niacinamide, tranexamic acid, and vitamin C derivatives. I liked that it blocks freckles and blemishes in 3 steps, and the ingredients are gentle, and it has no fragrance. The texture is slightly oily, but it is a transparent formula that flows like water and absorbs well. I was worried that it might cause trouble because there is a slightly sticky feeling after application, but no trouble occurred, and it felt like it provided a light moisturizing layer, so it seemed good to use during the seasonal change. I'm not sure if the whitening function is good, as I've only used it for a week.
ConsGenerally, there was little irritation, but on days when the barrier was compromised due to exposure to a lot of wind during the seasonal change and dry weather, there was some discomfort. Therefore, it seems it should be applied when the skin is in a healthy state.

The harmony of white and black seems simple yet gives an aesthetic product feel. As I've gotten older, I've become very interested in freckles and pigmentation, and I've been using various vitamin C and niacinamide products recently, but this product was just right for my concerns. First of all, the dropper format is great because I can apply a small amount to the problem areas. And now that the weather is getting warmer, I prefer lightweight products, and this one has a watery, lightweight texture that flows easily. Since the niacinamide content is high, I think the problem areas will improve a lot if I use it consistently. After receiving the product and using it daily, I was surprised that my skin tone had brightened slightly even after a week. I think I'll be very satisfied if I use it for about a month. It absorbs incredibly fast, and it works well with any follow-up products, so it seems like a good product to use all year round.
ConsThe disappointing aspect seems to be the price. I wanted to repurchase the product as I liked it, but the price is expensive compared to the volume. Also, since it has a glass case, I need to be careful not to drop it.
TipThis product works well with the Vitamin C serum and pack. Usually when used together, they can be irritating, but this product doesn't have that issue.👍

The cap was big, the container was too chubby, and the dropper part was too short, so I didn't think much of it. But as I used it, I found it easy to open and close, and I even felt that using other ampoules became difficult. It was easy to open and close without much effort, so I used it well during the trial period. And I liked the clean and pretty design of the container. 🫶 Formulation The formulation is almost like water. It's not too thick or thin, so it goes on the skin lightly. It's easy to apply, but it's not too light, so it provides good moisture. Of course, that doesn't mean the ampoule alone is enough for moisture! It's a product that's effective on blemishes, but it also has a moisturizing effect. That's why there's a slight glow on the skin when you apply it. 🫶 Effect It's not an incredibly dynamic effect, but I felt that the blemishes had faded a bit compared to 2 weeks ago. These days, the sun is strong, and I was worried about freckles, but the effect was good, so I used it well.
ConsThe courage is both an advantage and a disadvantage. It was inconvenient that the remaining amount could not be checked due to its opacity. Also, the dropper part was too short, making it inconvenient to use. The capacity is too small. These days, ampoules are usually around 50ml, but this product is only 30ml. I wish the capacity was a little bigger. If the capacity increases, the container will be longer, so the problem of the short dropper part will also be improved.
TipIt's not a Hwahae tip, but when opening a product, gently turning the lid with your hands makes it easy to open without much effort. The same method works well for closing it too. And of course, applying a bit more to areas you're concerned about blemishes is a good idea.

This serum contains a total of 13% pigmentation-improving ingredients, including 7% niacinamide, 3% tranexamic acid, and 3% vitamin C derivative. Compared to a well-known competitor's product that contains around 3% niacinamide and 2% tranexamic acid, this serum seems to have a higher concentration of effective ingredients, though it is also about twice as expensive. The formula is not particularly lightweight, likely due to the high niacinamide content, and has a slightly tacky texture. It does not provide a deeply hydrating or instantly brightening effect like a hyaluronic acid serum, so it may be best used in conjunction with a more moisturizing product. While I only used the product for a short 2-week period, I noticed that any pigmentation from recent blemishes seemed to fade more quickly. The overall effect was a more radiant, even-toned complexion, rather than dramatic whitening. I expect the long-term brightening and pigmentation-reducing benefits to be more significant with continued use.
ConsI'm not sure if it's just a problem with this product, but when I started using it, a couple of blemishes popped up in the beginning and then went away. The high concentration of functional ingredients might cause breakouts for those with sensitive skin. However, I didn't experience any irritation or discomfort. Those with acne-prone skin trying to fade discoloration may want to use this type of product, but the niacinamide, tranexamic acid, and vitamin ingredients could actually irritate breakouts. It's recommended to use it only after fully clearing up acne, when no new blemishes are appearing. After the initial period, I no longer experienced any further breakouts. If your skin is sensitive, I'd suggest starting with a small amount and gradually increasing it. Also, at around 40,000 won for a 30ml serum, the price point might be a bit burdensome.
TipIt seems like the method introduced on YouTube works well when using retinol products. While the routine using the Hwahae retinol serum is being introduced, I already had a retinol product that I was using, so I used that one together. The effects still seem to be good. This Hwahae trace serum helps lighten pigmentation, and the retinol helps accelerate skin cell turnover, so I think I can see the effects of my skin becoming clearer and pigmentation fading more quickly.

I think the serum will be particularly effective for those with freckles! Furthermore, it is odorless and colorless, so it can be used comfortably without any aversion. As someone who has used the Panthenol Serum from Layerlab, I found that even in the winter, it was extremely sticky and burning, so it didn't suit me well. However, this product is less sticky and has a thinner, runnier consistency, so I felt it was much better.
ConsThe quantity is not particularly high in relation to the price, which leads to using it only partially. Additionally, during the summer, those with oily or combination skin may find the finish to be somewhat sticky, which is disappointing.
TipIn the evening, I recommend applying it! As the weather is getting warmer, if you want a clean skincare routine, I would recommend a moderately lightweight moisturizer rather than a rich, nourishing cream!

Trial Reviewers' reviews undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsFrom the night of April 14th to April 27th. I applied it only at night every day. The product container seems good. The product container seems thick and the lid is.. well, it seems to block external factors (air, temperature, sunlight, etc.) well to maintain the quality of the contents as much as possible. It is odorless. Based on my sense of smell, there seems to be some scent, but it's close to odorless. The application is good. It spreads well, as if it has some oiliness. I felt a whitening effect. I felt that my skin became brighter.
ConsThe product's dropper part is a bit thick and short. Since I used it with oily hands, it may slip and fall. When removing the product's dropper, it gets caught on something. I have to use some force. Even a small amount feels heavy. After applying, my face felt hot and stinging. I didn't notice any fading of freckles or blemishes during use. There were no issues in the first 1-3 days of use, so I think it's more likely due to the sudden temperature rise rather than the product itself... but I did get 2 bumps on my skin while using this product.

Recently, I had some dark spots around my eyes, but after using it for about a week, I feel like they have faded a bit, so I plan to continue using it consistently.
ConsThe disappointing aspect is that the dropper part of the bottle is quite small, so only a small amount comes out each time. I had to use the dropper multiple times to dispense the serum. Other than that, there were no other downsides.

As the days become warmer and the sun hotter, the dormant blemishes have started to deepen one by one. I have been using this serum consistently, and while the spots are not as visible in the photo, the deepening blemishes have faded! There is a slight pimple that has come up, as shown in today's photo (after). The effects of cosmetics cannot be dramatic, so I am completely satisfied with this level of effect! I used it for about 10 days, applying it after using toner in the evenings. I also applied it without using toner. I plan to use it more consistently. Using it alone may be drying, so you should use it with other products.
ConsThe formulation flows like water, so I applied it drop by drop, starting from the forehead and massaging it in. Then I applied it to one cheek at a time, massaging it in. If I didn't do it this way, it would just drip down...haha

The ampoule is transparent and has no scent at all! I used it every evening, but since the usage period was short, I'm not sure about any dramatic effects yet. I do feel like my skin tone has become strangely more even, but that could also be due to changes in my condition, so I think I'll need to continue using it consistently to see. It seems to moisturize well, but there is a bit of stickiness left after application, so I think it would be better to use it in the fall and winter.
ConsIt seems that there is quite a bit of stickiness left, so it may not be favored by those who dislike stickiness. While it may have provided a high level of satisfaction if used in the fall and winter, when the weather gets warmer, the formula feels a bit heavy, which is disappointing.

Even if this ampoule is not used, it is a must-try product!! My skin type is combination, and it's not good when it's too oily or when there's just too much moisture without any nourishment. I'm currently using the Hanyul Red Rice Essence which contains niacinamide, so I'm only applying this ampoule to the areas with freckles and dark circles around my cheekbones. The texture is a completely runny formula, but the finish is so smooth and velvety. It's not a finish that can be patted in for absorption. I only apply it to the cheekbone area because I feel it might be too tacky if applied all over my face. There's no special fragrance, and I didn't experience any bumps or itchiness - just a nice, simple experience. But I feel like the visible effects may be fading a bit faster, not sure if it's just my imagination. One really nice and surprising thing is that the ingredients are listed right on the ampoule bottle itself. Usually, you have to find the discarded box or search online to check the ingredients, so this was a very satisfying feature.
ConsThe stickiness is really severe!!! Those who dislike this should not buy it, I assure you ㅎ..
TipNiacinamide is known to work well with ingredients like retinol and hyaluronic acid, so I apply niacinamide at night, then retinol, followed by a moisturizer mixed with hyaluronic acid, and finish with a Zeroid regenerative cream. Surprisingly, my skin, which used to have a lot of milia, has now cleared up and the milia are gone. Eureka..🥹🍀
