It's a light essence type and when I tested it on the back of my hand, it started off moisturizing and then absorbed quickly. My husband has very oily skin, but he said there's not much shine. Probably because his skin is so greasy. He didn't have any issues with the ingredients. I bought it when it was 50% off, so it seems like a good value.
