  When cleansing with cold water on a hot summer day, it really...doesn't wash off. It's not even lukewarm water...it's warm water... Now I just occasionally use it as a cleansing cream substitute when doing heavy makeup... After rinsing, I do a double cleanse with a gel cleanser.. When using this alone, there's a residue left. I don't like the residue feeling, so I use a different type.
